These are all experiments I’ve carried out for myself out of curiosity.
The main requirement is consistencey for 30 days and then evaluate the effects for yourself.
Just decide to do it, don’t overthink it and see what you notice.
Have Fun!
To make this work for me I pour a pint of water before I go to bed so it’s ready for me first thing in the morning when I come down into the kitchen. I like my water at room temperature but you can put yours in the fridge if you prefer.
Don’t make it complicated. Life can be overwhelming. Make it easy and repeatable.
Hydration, hydration, hydration!
How often do we hear how important hydration is?!
Every action is the body is hydrophilic (it requires water) so hydration is important.
When I was at a low point in my life this was one of the first experiments I ran. Several years on and it’s become a habit. It has allowed me to reconnect with my thirst and recognise how much better it makes me feel.
When someone is taken into hospital, often, the first thing administered is a saline drip to rehydrate the individual.
What is ‘stacked water’?
I honestly don’t know where this name came from but its simply the idea of adding things to your water to optimise its hydration qualities.
Examples include:
Lemon Water adding the juice of fresh lemon to your water.
Electrolytes - adding electrolytes to your water - Please find electrolytes that aren’t full of fillers and sugar. Look for potassium, magnesium, sodium and chloride.
You can also make your own ‘Sole’ solution (think salt cordial)
Take 2 tbsp of Himalayan salt and place in jam jar. Top up with boiled and cooled water and leave overnight. The salt will dissolve leaving you with a super saturated salt solution.
Add 1tsp to a pint of water. If it tastes too salty add more water or use less salt solution.
